Best is tough. For one person best might mean ease of installation. For another it could mean price and for another it could mean something else. There's a wealth of information on here (also alot on E90post turbo section) regarding the pros and cons of each. Figure out what is "best" for you

I think first you should decide if you want a flash or a piggy back, then budget.

JB4 starts at 349.00, Proceed starts at 645.00 (I think) and COBB starts at 895.00

The proceed uses the cruise control stick and the COBB has no steering wheel or dash options.

If you already have the JB3 then I think its a no brainer to go for the JB4

agree!

Hard to determine which is smoother, because they are both pretty damn smooth. Honestly, either JB4 or PROcede and you will be happy. COBB tuning sounds promising too, but i have more experience with others. Nobody beats the customer service from Mike/Terry.

I'm not one to bash, but seeing the same questions asked over and over again, especially ones with no clear answer and a thread full of argument and opinion get pretty OLD and ANNOYING. The forums are already full of information about pretty much anything you can ask. Do a search first, take in all the forum's information, and if you still can't find your answer, then ask your questions. The only reason people re-post is out of laziness. Too lazy to search first and just ask so they can be spoon fed.

Try not to take any offense to my post, just stating was most people would agree on. We are always here to help fellow members with questions though. This answer just happens to be more opinionated than most and researching the already hundred posts on this topic should help you develop your own opinion on this matter.

Well we've had 1000 JB vs Vishnu threads that yielded nothing more than bickering... I suppose it was just a matter of time before we had a JB vs Vishnu VS COBB.

To the OP, I understand that you want to get the 'best' tune possible but to really find the answer to your question you would need to get all 3 and test them back to back without changing conditions and determine which is best for YOU.

I personally will be going with the Cobb, but that is because they are located near my house and I like the way their product works. However I have never driven a JBed car or a Vishnu car so I really have no way to know which I would prefer, but I assume besides the points I mentioned (and the Cobb not having any input through cruise control, etc) it would really be splitting hairs as all the tunes seems to have caught up to each other in one way or another.

Good luck with whatever route you choose.

Ohh... and ignore my run on sentences... I sometimes get excited!
