2005 130i LED Licence Plate lights

Hey guys,

Relatively new to this forum and my 1 series in general. I own a 2005 130i and have recently started to modify the looks slightly while I save for other bigger things. I bought some black kidney grilles and an LED licence plate light assembly about 3 weeks ago.

When I went to install the LED's, it appears they have a different plug to my stock setup, but it says on the box they are for an E87. I'm thinking that due to mine being a 2005, it might be an early model and the plug changed in later years? The plug on the LED assembly in is 2 small, square points.

Basically, my question is does any one know of any changes in the wiring for this assembly? Can anyone point me in the right direction for an assembly that would fit my vehicle?

While typing this it occurs to me that this is harder to explain than I anticipated. If any more info is needed, I can get photos of the different assembly's tonight.

yeh the E87 had two different plugs. I have small connectors to make them plug and play... send me a PM and I can send you some?
