F30 CIC in E82
So, I had an F30 CIC (car information computer) in my hand the other day at work and I realised, its almost physically identical to the E82/E90 CIC. The F30 unit has much more fluid menu scrolling and the navigation looks much more defined and is quicker. I'm gonna plug one into my E82 and see what happens...even though I don't expect much due to coding errors. I'll keep this updated.

I am seriously interested in this idea.
I agree that it's prob not gonna work - at least not easily - but can't hurt to try and if it does work, that's just so much win. |

Guys you can retrofit the CIC from the F3x's into our cars. A buddy of mine has done a few. You do need all the other hardware I believe.
