Yeah, for whatever reason it just didn't want to come off. All the bolts/screws came out easy peasy, but those clips held firm.
I ended up just yanking the wheel lining to fix the vent, which combined with the super loose bumper made fixing the vent possible.
And with only one blood injury! (Stupid screw decided to sneakily roll right where I eventually put my hand to push myself up off the floor.)

Semi-related: I did order a repair kit for the one broken tab, along with a few odds and ends for an upcoming speaker replacement. Still debating the actual speakers, either the mb quart kit or the match subs + components or a combination of the two.

.
There are only two clips, in the upper corner of the bumper. I used my trim removal tools to get them to pop, came off easy.

I can say it was a success to because I only lost 1 T30 socket in the car! It came off after I tightened the headlight screw under the fender. Theres a small access hole about the size of a socket in the top of the fender to get it, and lets just say that I wasnt very good at playing operation that day.

Cool.

Do the phone, volume and "next track" buttons on the steering wheel still work?

Had to use the BMW repair kit, really easy to use. And only $20 for a full set of replacement brackets for both headlights! As a consequence I had to take the front bumper off, so the car looked like this for an hour.

While I had the bumper out I decided to put on some nice performance grilles. Its crazy how such a simple thing makes the front look 10x better.

Hey man do you Have the part number for the headlight bracket kit? I have a set of lights sitting in my garage and some tabs are broken.

NVM man quick search pulled it up thanks anyways.[

Installed a BlendMount for my V1. Very expensive bracket + cable, but so worth it. No wires, no suction cups, looks like it belongs. I used this instructions and tapped into the windshield wiper sensor:

Got more of the much needed paint correction done. I swear, I've never hated and loved something as much as Jet Black paint... I think the previous owner washed the car with sandpaper haha

Thanks! That was only one pass of Menzerna FG400 with an orange pad on the PorterCable 7424. I usually just start with SI1500, then SF4000 with a white pad and finish it off with Power Lock polymer sealant. But today I only did the FG400 and sealant. The doors seem to be the worst part on my car, so that's why I upped it to the FG400.

Just finished my install of the front EBC brakes, Rotors and new Koni Struts. Now I start on the rear. But before I do that, I'm pulling out the inner wheel well to replace the horns and make a bracket for my new secondary oil cooler (also fan cooled with a thermostat). I'll tell ya, those 6 piston Brimbos are massive!

wow. great job! How hard was the strut swap? Do you need any special tools outside of regular wrenches, sockets etc.? I'm looking to do this in the spring.

+1

Finally cut the first hole in the low beam reflector for the projector I will be installing.

Going to be a slow winter project since both 1ers are stored away.

Nothing Special but you absolutely need a spring compressor they're only about 30 bucks

Wake up. Check Forecast. Precipitation 0% chance, nice day in the 50's. Car was full of salt, so I washed it. Parked it outdoors at work instead of the covered parking since I was running late due to washing it. Get out of work in the evening to find it is raining and a flock of seagulls decided to poo on the whole driver's side of the car. Grrrr....

Outside of the seagull twist, this happens to me all the time. I wash the car and it rains on the same day. I should move to California and end the drought for them by washing my 1er
