Kill the warning gong. Which fuse?
After one year of ownership I can't take it any more: passenger seat bong, low gas gong, open door bong, key in ignition bong. Ahhhhhhhhhhh.
Which fuse do I rip out to make it stop. |

I got the gong for the snowflake all morning on a drive. It was low to mid 40s at the top of hills and mid 30s in the valleys. I got gonged not on every hill but on a lot of them. For nearly 2 hours. It was more than enough. I thought the snowflake was cute the first time I saw it. I didn't think it was cute this morning.

Mines down all the way, and all gongs stayed the same. Unfortunately you have to remove the instrument cluster to kill the speaker.

Thats only on European 1ers. American 1ers have the gong wired through the radio speakers. Unfortunatly I think our gong is hardwired into the Amp, so there is no way to remove it.

funny i found this thread i was screwing with my radio tonight after comming home from a friends house and if you go into config on your radio and i think it's under the bass/treble section there is a gong volume control from the factory it's set in the middle and you can lower it from there

This is the stupidest idea ever! Why don't you just wear your bloody seat belts?
On a side note I do find the gone very annoying...its taken tonnes of planning to not hear it every time I get in my car. Get in the car, seat belt, make sure all doors are closed...then start the car. Although I think that my dad's 3 series is worse then my 1er. Even with both gong volumes minimized his is still loud.

What does laptop have to do with it? If you put your laptop on the passenger seat, it shouldn't weigh enough to set the sensor off? Doesn't it have a 100lbs trigger?
