So today my brother helped me out with the hood instal. It's a M3 style carbon fiber hood from Seibon. I wasn't to sure on how it would look on the car because of the contrast in colors. But after seeing it I have to admit, I like it more on the white car than on the black car.
Maybe between tonight or tomorrow I'll be installing the hood latches. |

So last night I started the instal of the hood latches, I just finished installing it. I'm satisfied with the results considering this was my first time doing this.
Note that my driver side latch is missing a bolt that I lost in the process. Unfortunately I don't have a spare & we're in quarantine/lockdown, so the hardware stores are closed. |

Bought some goodies for the car. Only needed the oil pan gasket, but decided to buy the rest as preventative maintenance.

So I decided to clean the undercarriage of the car, since on Monday it's going to the shop to get the oil pan gasket replaced. Also cleaned the oil cap & flipped the Cap gasket in hopes to stop it from leaking, while a new oil cap comes from overseas. (One of the few cons of living in a Caribbean island lol) And to top it off cleaned the engine bay.
Also I'm stoked that my rubber floor mats came through the mail today. |

Today I started to work on the front bumper, prepping it for paint. Sanded & body filled it, sadly I ran out of sand paper & we're still on lock down, I can't go & buy more of it. Since I'm working on the bumper, I also be painting the grill trims in alpine white to color match them with the car. I'm not the biggest fan of color match grill trims, but since I'm less of a fan of the chrome trim I'll be painting it just to see how I like it. If I don't like it I'll change it back to gloss black.

Here're some rough measurements of the stock 135i emblem. Just in case someone is looking for reference of it's location.

Assembled & mocked up the fire extinguisher bracket on the car. Tomorrow I'll be installing it, since I have to modify the bracket to make it fit. I'm pretty happy with how it looks.

Today I went & installed it to the car. Had to trim down the bracket on the sides & now it fits perfect.

Yea so finally after more or less 4 months of delays, managed to give the front bumper to my paint guy & today I installed it on to the car. I also went ahead & colored matched the grill trims in alpine white. Had to play with the fitment or the hood/bonnet, got it better than what it was. But still, I'm not happy with how it fits. I'll blame my lack of body panel fitting skills & the fact that a lot of people have had complains about bad fitment on some carbon fiber hoods/bonnets. But overall looks really nice, compared to how it looked before.
EDIT: This is the first time I've seen the car with the complete look of all the body panels installed. |

Today I went to my all time favorite location in Puerto Rico. It's where I took the first photos of this car, in the Town of Guanica, PR. After almost ten months of ownership & sadly it's being the same amount of time since this town has been the epicenter of continues tremors & earthquakes here on the island. But I wanted to share some pictures of my car & the location. I'm by no means a professional photographer, & these are iPhone pictures. Hope that anyone that sees them, gets to enjoy them.
