Used (6k miles) 135i. What to look for?
I came across a 2012 135 at a local dealership with 6k miles on it. The car is perfect except for a little curb rash on one wheel. It has been on the lot for about 3 weeks now and was hoping the price would come down from it's current 37,9 sticker. I have been to the dealership several times now just to look it over without the nagging salesmen. I can't seem to find anything wrong with it, and am amazed it is still on the lot. I am wondering if I am missing anything, since it is practically new still I just assume the price is keeping buyers away. Any suggestions on what to look for/at before I make a decision to buy or not?

37,9 is not a bad price at all for a current year model that isn't even fully broken in yet. I don't think you have to look for anything considering you still have 4 years and 40+k miles on the factory warranty.
Is it exactly what you're looking for color and options wise? That was what had me hung up on a good deal locally on one, but it just didn't have what I was looking for for options.

Unless its just a total lemon, it should be sound mechanically with so few miles. Id check all the electronics thoroughly, bmws tend to have lots of gremlins in the AC, defroster units, radio unit, etc. also see if the 3rd brake light has any cracks in it. Thats a good price for what is essentially a new car.

Check the exact mileage and write it down. Might sound silly but I've bought a demo car with "around 6000km" and when I received it it had *exactly* 6900.0km. Suspicious .
Oh, and negociate a Performance Exhaust in the deal while you're at it, you won't regret it ! |

Hey everyone thanks, for the responses. I ended up getting it earlier today and have been driving all day long I got them to get the price down to 36,5. Still seems pretty reasonable. It has the M Sport package and cold weather package. The only thing I noticed that I will have looked at is the steering wheel that is somewhat not level when driving straight. It is turned counter clockwise a little. The alignment seems fine though, it drives true and straight. I am assuming this can be taken care of under warranty?

Glad it worked out bro. I had an s2000 for a yr when I was straying away from German cars for a couple yrs an I can truly say getting rid of it was the best thing I ever did. Was a fun car but a very stupid decision when I bought it and it gave me a decent amount of problems. That's what I get for being young and impulsive. But seriously congrats on the purchase and enjoy.
