FINALLY got my 1m!
Hey guys,
My story with getting a 1M has been an on and off love story. Last year I toyed with the decision of trading my 3 for a 1'er and I tried to get on the list etc but it was impossible so I gave up. My spark for a new car started again when my brother bought his 997 GT3 a few weeks ago and I went on multiple test drives but nothing caught my fancy(There was a new 1m for sale but waaay over sticker.) Last weekend I went with him on a breakfast run and one of his friends was on the waiting list for a 1m and he was lucky enough to get one of the last 1m's in South Africa and had the perfect spec(navi, H/K pdc etc). He had just bought a 996 porsche GT3 and had no need. 1 day later and he had given me the spot  MY Alpine White 1M arrives at the dealership either tomorrow or Thursday. I can't describe my excitement and promise to put up picture as soon as i get my baby. Thought I would just share my spot of luck with you guys! Glad to be joining the club

Absolutely fantastic! My 1M is my daily driver and I love it! It is a beautifully crafted machine! You will definitely have the biggest grin on your face every time you go for a drive. If you wind up laughing like a mad scientist, just let it be. It is one of the side effects of driving that car.

Congrats!! Hope you will love it, as i love mine! It's not my daily, but, nearby always when i don't have to work, i drive it, only for my pleasure! Have now 16000 km on the clock after 13 months, travelling in it through Italy and so far!!

Congrats! I believe that the trouble and on and off uncertainty of getting the car makes the experience that much better. Nothing like the feeling of finally tying one down. Congrats again. Wish you great times with your new 1M

Thanks for all the wishes guys! I don't think the reality has actually hit me yet!
I will be using the M as my DD so I have delayed picking up the car by getting them to VPS the front of the car and to get the windows tinted. Break in period is going to be a huge test of will power for me

The dealer sent me a photo today! Wow she looks amazing
Pickup either Friday or Saturday. I think ill leave it for Saturday so that the tint and protection wrap has time to settle!
