Track-Ready Street Car - For Sale
Hi All, I'm selling my Dinan 135 and assorted accesories, including 3 sets of wheels and tires. The car is a 2009 that I custom ordered and had delivered in September 2008 (I have the "year 1 of the 1" starter button bezel). It is used only on weekends and currently has about 26,000 miles. Most of these are highway miles, but many of them are from places like Lime Rock, VIR, Watkins Glen, etc. The goal from day 1 was to have an outstanding street car that would be a lot of fun on the track. In the past 4 years I've done quite a bit to the car, most of which makes it more fun, better handling, safer and faster, but none of which impacts its merits on the street. The car could be kept exactly as-is (my ideal plan) and continue as a mixed-use joy ride or as a dedicated track machine. It can drive your mom around one day and torch the tarmac with Hoosier slicks the next. I drive the car to the track on street tires, and carry my 4 racing wheels/tires in the car, along with my tools. The rear seat is currently removed for tire transport, but can be re-installed easily. All of the upgrades and pictures are below. If this ride interests anyone please feel free to reach out to me. I'm more than happy to discuss the value of the car via e-mail or over the phone. I really want this car to go to someone who will cherish it as it's a great piece of engineering. I am in no rush and under no pressure to sell. I take VERY good care of this car, as I have always expected to keep it for a long time. All maintenance to date has been done at the dealer, including all of the Dinan work. Brakes, roll-bar and other things I've done myself. There are some minor bruises on the body that go along with Manhattan parking garages, but mechanically it's in perfect shape. Note that I also have lots of accessories and parts that would be included in a sale. Thanks for looking. Stock Specs: "Loaded"

I'll add more pictures soon.
The harness bar and X bar bolt in and out quickly if you need to use the back seat. I leave them both installed and fit wheels under the harness bar without the rear seat. The pic below has the harness bar removed: The wood in the photo below looks brownish, but in person it looks grey to match the interior: Stock rear brakes as they do only a small amount of the braking on track. Currently holding Hawk DTC 60 pads in back and Stoptech Street Performance pads in up front. Endless pads go in for track season: This is the stance when Dinan suspension was just installed. It's dropped slightly since then as springs broke in. Wanted to show you what is looks like on stock wheels. The paint is still in perfect shape as I've had it well protected with Zaino from day 1. A few marks on the rear bumper and one mark on left front fender

Thanks, it hauls. If anyone is on the east coast and wants to see it in person, the car lives in NYC, and I'll be going to some early season driving events if I still have it. I'll post my schedule when I know it.

Hi, I'm a 2009 135. My hobbies include passing V8 M3s on the track and giving Porsche GT3 drivers a case of the rear-view-mirrors. Wanna date?

Below I'll keep updating the list of events where you can see the car on track:
1. Lime Rock Park - March 30, 2013 (NASA Northeast HPDE)

Baby on the way. If someone really wants this car for what it is then i'll sell, otherwise it'll sit quietly until I find time to take it to the track. I feel that there are people who will be able to get much more out of this over the coming years than I will.

we met
I'm sure we met at the Glen in September 22-23 with BMW GVC (I think).
Just curious - what's lap time car like this does at Watkins Glen? With street rubber and with R6? I am selling my 135i also. http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=788002 |

I'll be at Limerock
By the way I'll be at Limerock also on March 30.
I'm kind-a similar way. Want to sell mine also , but if no offers, I just keep it an dget some Hooseirs, better shocks, more camber and enjoy it more. |

Hey Alex. To be honest, I don't know what times I did at the Glen as I never installed a timing system or used any handheld timers. I can tell you that the Hoosiers are A LOT faster than any summer tire. The combination of the slicks with the Stoptech/Endless brakes is just mind-blowing and the grip levels are so much higher. Additionally, the car is much more balanced with the slicks which have less stagger. The difference at turn-in between 245 front slicks and 225 summers is not even comparable.
There were very few cars at the last Watkins Glen event that could run lap times equal to this 135, but I'm not sure what that translates to in numbers.

sounds very convincing! I did time trials with NARRA in TT3 class. Against other cars with slicks and power range 340-450 bhp. Was no contest, but managed 2:18 - last in class - 2 secs behind stock-looking-E46M3 on Michelins PS3.
It is possible to speculate the 135i in stock form is capable to do 2:12 (2:10 in good hands) on Hoosiers. |
