Hey Jack, I had a 04 R32 and I miss the hell out of that car. I am glad to hear that the One is very similar in driving excitement. My A4 feels like a boat compared to the R32. How does the exhaust note on the car sound compared to the R32?

Nice review.
Picture the following - you're trickling onto a roundabout in second gear, waiting for a gap in the traffic flow. A gap appears, you apply a little throttle and... what happens? I ask this because my recently-sold S3 used to irritate me with its off-boost sluggishness. In the case of that car, you'd crawl out embarassingly slowly into the path of an oncoming car, only to hit boost revs suddenly and get fired into the back of the car in front! Please tell me the 135's engine is nice and responsive and lag-free even under these circumsatnces... |

Jack,
Regarding the the stereo, 335i had the Logic 7. If you had it can you tell us difference between them, Logic7 vs. Hifi? If the Hifi isn't that great I may as well go aftermarket.

I'm driving a 335 which has the same engine but a little more weight. I don't have to imagine the above mentioned scenario, I ran it many times while in France during my Euro Delivery. What happens in 2nd gear is that it will rocket you forward ferociously and you'll have to be ready to catch it with the steering wheel. Then if you upshift into 3rd, the torque will slam home again thudding your head against the headrest and you'll be on your merry way towards loosing your license. Frankly, the engine was the main reason for getting the 335, it is brilliant.

Congrats on your delivery! OK, it's official, Alpine White is HOTTTT!
Now get back in the car and break-in that powertrain so you can put some boot into it! *grin*

However if the Logic 7 is as good as the old HK system I had in my E46 330Ci Sport, I'd definitely say it was worth it. |
