Question for transmission conversion

Hi, I drive 2013 128i automatic. I wanted to go with manual initially, but since BMW discontinued 1 series when I tried to buy the car, I couldn't buy it in manual. Now, I'm thinking if I can convert the auto tranny to manual tranny. I researched about the topic a lot and it seems like people recommend swapping the whole car for manual transmission equipped car, but I really love my car, so I don't want to go that way even if it costs more. How much does it really cost to make perfect conversion that would lead to having a feeling of factory built manual transmission equipped car?

P.S. I wish BMW dealership has an option like converting tranny within their service department. That would be awesome.

or is it very impossible in a way that it can't be done as good as factory built manual tranny 128i?

First of all find the BMW indy garage that will do the work. Your local BMWCCA people will be indispensable.
