Ok, guys... I heard back from BMW Plant Regensburg!!!


We have a tour booked for...

Monday, December 17th, 2012 at 08:30 h

We can't tour the motorsports dept. But we can see how they make the cars we LOVE! The tour lasts 2.5 hours and kids(4yrs and up!) are welcome too.


Regensburg Werk builds: BMW 1 Series, BMW 3 Series, BMW Z4 and BMW M3's.


So who is in? There is a flat charge of € 100, we can just divide that by how many people come on our Plant Tour. I have also been talking to the Welt 3.0 Organization guys and some of them would like to come too.

What does everyone think? I might go scout out a hotel in the Regensburg area to stay at Sunday night.

Monday, 17.12.2012 at 08:30 h

The guided tour is reserved for 6 people. Please let us know if the number of people changes. Maximum group size is 30 people.

We would gladly have a 4 year old in our factory.

Please find attached a map of how to reach us and important information for your visit. Guest parking is available in front of gate 2 . Please register at the welcome point 15 minutes prior to your tour.

The guided tour is linked to production times. Therefore, delays can only be made up to a certain extend. It is not possible to enter the plant premises before the tour starts.

Contribution towards expenses of € 100 is payable on site before the tour starts.

Please let us know if you are unable to keep this appointment and contact our service team at info@bmw-besucherwesen.de or call us at +49(0)89-382-xxxxx. No expenses will be incurred if a guided tour is cancelled up to one day before the scheduled date.

In the event of an incorrect cancellation we have to charge € 100 towards expenses.

Please note that it is sometimes necessary to cancel a tour due to operative reasons. In this case we will try to inform you as soon as possible. A confirmed appointment does not represent a legal claim for the execution of a tour.

I'm in +1. I think we're going to hit Nuremberg on the way Saturday. Their Christmas Market is supposed to be one of the best in Germany.

I would like to wait a week or so first Rick. First, I want everyone here who wants to come - sign up. Some might need to put in for leave and that takes awhile.

We are limited to only 30 spots. So first lets see how many 1Addicts will come... then we can open it up to the M3 guys.


I also think Gabe's idea of going to visit the Nurnberg or Regensburg Christmas market is a good one.

Q: How many people will be staying Sunday night in Regensburg? The Christmas Market there should be quite nice.

Smellthebeans sent me a link to a nice hotel in Regensburg(Courtyard Regensburg Hotel). I wondering if we should start to book our rooms or will everyone just go on their own?

A single room with breakfast are going for 85/95/105 euros for the night. I also think parking should be decent there. The BMW factory looks to be about ten minutes away from the hotel.
