Another story......
http://www.nbcwashington.com/news/lo...139760423.html
What I find amazing is......Police said the driver was most likely going more than 100 mph. The crash scene was more than 100 yards long........Smith was ejected from the vehicle (likely from not wearing a seat belt) and killed. Investigators said that a male passenger in the BMW was not seriously injured. Seriously ~100mph accident slamming into all that stuff but yet the passenger inside the vehicle obviously secured with a seat belt was not seriously injured..... that is amazing and gives me faith in my 1 |

Yeah for sure. Did you notice that every time the reporter mentionned the suv she referred to it as "the BMW"? Kinda funny bet she wouldn't have it had been a prius... But yeah I the 1er wouldn't have gone airborne either...

Chick was cited for doing 91 in a 55 (!) six weeks ago - and now she's dead. Can't work up too much sympathy for her...
EDIT: Another article mentions that she had a suspended license and expired tags.

I'm not sure I feel quite that harshly. I suspect she had problems, emotional, chemical or otherwise, that hindered her ability to make reasonable decisions. It cost her her life and gravely endangered her passenger. She may have also left behind mourning family.
