Now that is nice. Good job. The best part is that LEDs last so long.

I didn't realize you need 2 bulbs per side, I'm still waiting for the other pair to arrive (Ordered before reading your posts)

Do you know how to replace the side marker bulbs? I have two canbus comaptible wedge bulbs I want to install. I tried moving the lens forward (towards the front bumper) but it doesn't budge. Some posts said to pop it out from the rear using a credit card but that sounds sketchy.

That's okay ... I learnt the hard way too. Did you get your Blackline LCI tail lights in the US or from Germany?

Thanks. Dack put me onto eBay.de. I'll compare ... but as I have a year's warranty to play out, I am in no hurry.

I've heard really good things about Scheidman <sp> - I'd go with them if I did it over again.

BTW see my post above about side markers - any idea how to get those bulbs out?

In this post it looks like you push them towards the door/rear bumper: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=524027. Tried that too without any luck. In some old posts a couple people suggested using a credit card on the side closest to the door to pop it out.

Link to bulbs. You need 4 total (2 per side). Alternatively there are cheaper bulbs available, but you may need to install a resistor to avoid your car thinking the bulb is burned out.

DRIVER SIDE [left] = LED
PASSENGER SIDE [right] = STOCK
Here is my video of the OEM strip LED tail lights.

Maybe not quite as bright as stock. But hey, I now have two updated rear tail lights courtesy of BMW. All fixed.

Cool - thanks! I'll let you guys know how those other reverse bulbs work out.

I hope you didn't buy from that eBay seller - looks like half his feedback is negative and they are no longer a registered user.

I bought these ones (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Upgrade-Ca...E:L:OC:AU:1120) as recommended earlier in this thread. They look pretty good when I tested them out with the hazard flashers. Once I started up the car though, I got the bulb malfunction warning and the fast flashing. The seller recommended installing the bulbs with the battery disconnected first, then resetting the trip computer. I don't see how this would make any difference? Anybody have any suggestions to get them to work?

If you guys fix it, please report back how you did it. I haven't bought these, knowing that there would be error codes. I'd *love* brighter tail lights though (seeing as mine are smoked, I'd like to counter that somewhat).

Hi guys

just received and installed the blinker leds from the following link

no error, nothing special happened, it just works without any issues or warnings, install took about 12 mins both side

http://www.ebay.com/itm/280778657694...84.m1439.l2649

here is a short video i took, right side - led left side - stock

by the way, i wanted to buy same pair for my back turn signal, when i took it out the original says VPY21W and the front says PY21W

is it safe to assume i can get the same pair for the back?

Absolutely no idea on the part numbers. If you found a list of bulbs needed in our cars, or went and pulled a rear bulb to compare to the front, might be able to tell if there's a difference. Color, wattage, who knows.

But thank you for the follow up! Glad that at least some of them out there do work correctly.
