UK Advice needed please

Hello all,

My 1M arrives tomorrow and today is the last day I am free to sign the paper work which means I can pick it up Friday. If I miss today, it will have to be in the new year. Question is - am I missing a trick and should I be waiting to get the car registered in 2012? What is the resell advantage of waiting just a few more days?

Please help - decision needed in the next couple of hours.

Thanks,
K

I would leave it 'til 2012, crazy to register this late in the year and with the bad weather you'll probably not use it much anyway. Could be the difference of maybe £500-£1000 in the near future but cant see it making too much difference later on in its life.

I agree wait until new year. It'll have a minimal effect on the value, but might just make it that bit more saleable in a few years if there are a few to choose from!

Friday, 10:00am pick up from Sytner, Maidenhead. Car mad mate coming to cut the ribbon.

Next question - first track? Am thinking 'Learning to Fly' Pink Floyd. Kasabian, KoL, Foo Fighters and Oasis are putting up a fight for no1 spot too. Any thoughts on first playlist?

Justice by Genesis is quite a cool track. But as Aussie said car had its own top track.

I was also busy being terrified my first journey!

Tell me about it, drove out of the dealers (Park Lane) at 1800 smack bang into Friday evening central London peak hour traffic, the less than 3 mile drive to get home took us an hour and all I could do was not enjoy the drive but dodge the idiots and buses lol

Yup, 4pm, massive tailbacks on M25 so Sat Nav thankfully re routed so missed it. But ended up doing fairly busy journey on roads I didn't know too well in car I didn't know at all. Did I mention it was raining?

Think I drove the first 3 miles in 4th gear without realising as the car is so much more refined that my Honda and I was busy being terrified. Did I mention it was raining?

Planning country lanes for first drive. Maidenhead to Beaconsfield. Good driving road and know every twist and bump. Did I mention it will be raining.

No music. Cars own sound track and 100% focus on the road!

We will have to come up with a new venue as the 8 Ball diner will be shut due to staff shortages over the Xmas holiday, any suggestions?
