That's what I was afraid of and why I haven't pulled the trigger and ordered one yet. I've only had 4 runs on a ~45 second track with the car.
I also had the same experience as you: understeer on exits and I also switched to taking a later apex on the problem spots on the course. Doing that alone shaved 8-9 tenths. Is there a significant chance of the car pushing MORE after installing a thicker sway bar?

I'm running a Hotchkis front bar with a mostly stock 135, and it works well. Can't say that the M3 bar wouldn't be fine also. But it does lean less on the AutoX course, and did help some.

I did not find that to be the case. But there is still some understeer for sure, it's just not as bad as stock, but if you overdrive into the corner, you will have trouble.

From my experience, what he possibly means is turning in too early. I was able to lower my times and mend most of my understeer problems by braking for a corner later and taking a late apex. Exit understeer was almost non-existent and I was able to carry more speed.

Cheers, thanks for confirming. Yepp that's right. I thought there were more members who were running KW V2's with the E93 but looks like I could possibly be the first or one of the first. |

Yes, I probably will get it before you do being that you are in Brisbane. I will do my best to exercise the new set up when I get it. |

I'm hesitant to go to the E93 sway, considering our entire suspension is stock, it might be just over kill. especially as the rear is just a little guy. when i do my sways, i'll probably play it safe and go with the e92 so that the ratios aren't as extreme.
besides, smaller is lighter, and smaller can provide slightly better ride comfort too :P |

couple newbie questions yea
- whats body roll - is there anything wrong with the aftermarket sway bars like from JLEVI / Bimmian commercial sellers etc. & are they also better than stock - in simple terms how does the driving feeling change after you upgrade the sway bar? - are most of you guys upgrading front/back or both & for someone wanting to try it out which ones best to start on |

If you are genuinely considering any kind of aftermarket sway bar I recommend reading this thread from start to finish. It might seem like a lot of effort but there is some valuable information in here and I'm surprised it hasn't been made a sticky already. It helped me make my decision and gave me the answers to all the questions you've mentioned. |

Hey guys! So today was the day. I went to BMW to get the swaybar installed. I took the curvey way there, to see the difference. The removal took the two guys not even 10 mins.
After about 45mins they were done and I got my car back. I didnt push the car on my way home, but I could tell that the body roll is less. |
