In regards to reliability and sound do you guys prefer the Raceport, not too "ricey" but enough to compliment a BMW?

Thats exactly how I'd describe the Turbosmart, however the whistle sound does sound a bit ricey to me sometimes..

My synapse bov in comparison was a lot louder and more obnoxious, reliability wise there were a few occasions where it wasn't blowing off properly (it seemed to be stuck) but it eventually fixed itself. Haven't had any issues with the raceport so far but its still early days

I'm guessing you prefer the Raceport over the Synapse.
I've heard a lot about the realiabitly issues of the Synapse and have been leaning to Turbosmart as their products seem much, much better... plus Australian :-)

I might just pull the trigger now, thanks!

You can't beat turbosmart for reliability, they are the best hands down.

Do the turbosmart dualport/plumback help at all with performance? Or is it all sound benefits?

In theory it helps keeps the turbos spinning during wot and gear transitions.

lol @ in theory.

I'm guessing it hasn't been proven? Or you haven't seen anything to say otherwise?

If your getting some may I suggest these ones as they are the only ones that have
adjustable spring tension.

You can have them bov or plumb back

I was originally gonna get those but i'm not going to use BOV. So plum back is fine for my needs. Unless there is something else i've missed.

Well the ones I listed have adjustable spring pressure for higher boost so they don't leak if/when you go to hybrids while just the plumb backs don't.

I did all the testing and data collecting for Turbosmart on both the plumbacks and the Vent to atmosphere bov's a while back on my old 135i.

These bov's really are well constructed not to mention a popular choice with the N54 guys.

Turbosmart FTW!!

You will realise the quality instantly as soon as you hold a Raceport in your hands, compared with any other BOV out there.
