Why do you say that? Heat will destroy the vinyl?

Thats what ive heard especially on those hot summer days it starts to bubble. A local shop stopped doing interior wraps just because of all the people that came back in the summer and complained and they had to re-do it. since then they stopped interior wrapping.

Exactly, apply one big piece over the center console, then cut each piece leaving equal part of vinyl on both side and heat the edges and pull the vinyl to it covers completely the edges.

I must admit that the cover of the ashtray is not perfect, there was not enough vinyl to cover completely the edges. But you don't notice it when it's closed. I guess if it was covering light wood or light color, it would be noticeable though.
Excellent will try this when my supplies come in this week. Can't wait !

Thoughts on wrapping the M steering wheel center? Think it would go good with your car.

Good to know! It gets really hot here summer time. I'll make sure to let people know here in case my vinyl starts to wrap or bubble.

Thanks for the heads up.

Gotcha, I knew BMW or somebody made a replacement carbon fiber one, just a suggestion. I replaced mine with an alcantara one anyways.

BUMP!

Started this last night. I didn't know that to remove the ashtray the entire center console has to come out. WHAT A PITA!

The wrapping is actually pretty time consuming because the vinyl wrinkles easily. Hopefully I'll have some before and after pictures this weekend. It's going to take a few hours and several beers to do the whole thing.

i'm always shooting with my EF-S 15-85 IS USM on 500D, and can seldom come up with a pic so fine in detail, but i still doubt it's probably more about my skills than my tools~

All trims except the door handles are perfect.

The door handles have two spots where it lifts, but it's towards the front of the car and you don't really see it.

I bought it locally at a decal/sticker shop. I think I bought like 3x5 feet.
