Trunk unlocks by itself?

Three times in the last month, I get in the car, put it in gear and take off, and the bell and warning message goes off that show the trunk lid is open. It's not actually "popped up", but it is actually unlocked. So I get out, slam it, and no more problems. I might be inclined to think I accidentally unlocked it with the key fob in my pocket but in these cases, the keys were on the counter before each use, and there's no chance it got hit while in my pocket. Anybody else had this issue?

So you have the comfort package? I would try using the other key fob and see if it still happens. If not then maybe the remote is malfunctioning then take that to the dealer since you're still under warranty. either way the good thing is you're under warranty.

No, I don't have the comfort package. I was just thinking that perhaps the trunk release button on the key got pushed while I played pocket pool, but it wasn't in my pocket at the time.

I've had that problem several times and assumed somehow I did it with my keys in my pocket. I've considered hitting the lock switch in the glove box as it's annoying as hell to get out of my car at the first stop sign on my road to close my trunk. Probably 7/10 times I leave the house (I only leave the house 2-3 times a week as I work from home).

I have comfort access, and my trunk will not open with the fob. Been to the dealer about it a few times to no avail. I just got used to opening from inside the car or outside at the trunk.

That sounds tiresome. I seriously have become so lazy with CA. I don't know how I'm going to manage when my next car doesn't have it.
