You can use this to spray it to the charge pipe. In that case it doesn't go through turbos just cleans throttle body and valves.

This is sprayed directly into the intake while engine is at idle.

When I did it, I just followed pretty much what this guy did, except with the aerosol seafoam:

http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showp...4&postcount=10

This way it works for the DI engine.

As far as I know, Seafoam, MCCC, and drosselklappenreiniger are pretty much the same thing, functionally. Am I wrong?

I think the next step is, like BrokenVert said, to just soak the whole damn thing including the intake valves in a seafoam-like product. I think I'll do all this next time I change the spark plugs at about 60K. I'm scared to see what I'll find. It's probably partly in my head, but the car isn't feeling as fast as it used to. Then again, I haven't done any power mods in a long time.

My 4 yr warranty will be up at the end of the year but I'm only at 36k. I can't decide if I want to drive it more to get more warranty covered maintenance work done or to try to keep the mileage down best I can. Either way I swear my car runs better and better. It's still too bouncy but for sure my gas mileage is going up. I suddenly jumped from averaging 22mpg to 23.7mpg this winter about the time I got new front tires and a new alignment. I'm interested to see if the mpg stays up once the AC comes back on. I'm also still thinking again about adding a meth system but I rarely use all my hp as is.

Baby has 62k on her, still looks great and is very happy now that she has the power kit upgrade. Gotta put the summer wheels on soon, though, for snow tires, the Alpinas are quite impressive at speed. More investments to come.

I'm still in my honeymoon stage but I love my car. Just got it back from service for a brake squeal and a nasty creaking from the A-pillar. It took them all day but they finally tracked down the creak and fixed it, plus they put all new pads, rotors, and sensors on.

What is this 45k service everyone is talking about? It sounds like you are getting some serious stuff done for it. Unfortunately (and fortunately lol) the previous owner only put 24k on the ODO in 3.5 years so I won't get to the 45k service before the free maintenance is up. Oh well, hope its easy enough to do myself when the time comes.

+1. I am in this exact situation
What is involved in inspection 1 for the 1er?

Ah, what I would give for the TIS documents on this car.

I bought her new with 7 miles on the odo. Just rolled 90k today. Thought about trading several times early into ownership due to fuel pumps etc. Glad I didn't. She still looks new. Paint has held up great and I have been out of warranty for 40,000 miles now and only replaced a water pump and thermostat. ) She will be 4 years old may 30th.

Picked up mine yesterday. An 08 with 10k miles. A few months left on the warranty although im going to extend it out. God I love this car... I already gave rides to a few friends and they were blown away that it only has 300 hp.

I've had mine for 2 years now. Only serious issue was when the fuel pump in the gas tank messed up. It would only take 3/4 of a tank when I filled it up, and would run really badly when you tried to force more in. Dealer replaced the whole gas tank which fixed it.

Best car I've ever driven let alone owned.

Hello there
Why the 2 new turbos? did the old 1's fail? and if so, did you notice them acting up or did the dealer suggest the replacement while servicing the car ?

Thanks
