So then what are they doing? Trying to match the 120K mile warranty I already have on my HPFP?
Or is it going to be a cash in all N54 owners pocket deal?

Also your car is basically what I want my car to look like - you know, except for the whole roof thing.

My year 1 of 135

My 135 May 08...18k miles....not a lot but I have not had to go back to dealer for any repairs at all. No rattles or otherwise complaints. Last year put performance power kit in it and wow I highly recommend , well at least at the sale price this past year. It's an unmistakable difference in 'pull'. Yes I understand the aftermarket kits are better...but under warranty I'm good with the BMW power kit. Also , I have the performance exhaust....great ..but rip off...it's the same as original exhaust minus the 'baffle' ...so you could go to a muffler shop and have them remove this and extend the exhaust pipe .
Do remove the clutch delay valve...night and day for me.
I did replace bridgestone runflats with pirelli Pzero non-run flats and hugh improvement in ride and grip. I did last year also buy 70k/7 year warranty as this car is a keeper.

Got mine recently (NOV'11) and just started modding it, so definitely still love it.

I still love my 08 135i. I bought it brand new and it will be 6 years this July. It had 75k miles. I just added a Borla exhaust yesterday and I fell in love it even more.

I wonder how many of you who still love their 1ers are DCT owners.

I just bought my 135 two weeks ago and I love the power! It's a DCT and it's kinda driving me crazy right now. I don't like the stuttering and lag.

Also, it feels a little slower and I think it's almost due for an engine cleaning. Seafoaming it every oil change for the past few thousand miles didn't do much. Also, the paint's ugly as shit now, especially on the front bumper, even with yearly professional detailing and being as meticulous as possible. Oh well. Still fun. Faster than most cars out there, and as the car ages I'm less anal about doing fun stuff like burnouts.
I just experienced the adaptive motor failure as well. Took car in due to Daylight Driving Lights bulb failure. It was replaced, next day I got the adaptive motor failure icon on the same headlight assembly. Took back to dealer and they will replace motor on BMW. I get great service from my dealer's shop.

Back to the original question, the 135i doesn't do anything great, but it does a whole lot of things very well. 65k on the clock.

Oh ok. I didn't know that. What transmission was available in 2008 other than 6MT?

Love mine, 2nd one I've owned. Just hit 65k miles, the water pump went out and needed two new turbos and seat belt sensor. Thank God for my extended warranty or it would have cost $9500. Pass the lube please....
