Did you guys tune the engine after installing the PE ?
Along with the PE, does one have to change the intake system ?
That would be sweet if i can just do the PE to an N55 engine and nothing else to tweak, modify or change.

Thanks for the inputs.

You don't need any engine tweak after install. It's just a replacement of the exhaust, and so no tuning involved. Actually besides a little less turbo lag there is no effect on performance.

anyone considering the bwm perforance exhaust for an n54, i'd recommending checking out the maddad whisper exhaust with their midpipes. amazing sound without being too loud and looks stock. i don't have a tune but there was an obvious bump in low-mid range power. easily installed myself.

I love the sound of the Maddad but there's one problem, import to the UK makes it around a $2000 exhaust after delivery and taxes. Lame.

I've just taken delivery of my PE this morning . I couldn't wait until tonight to open the box so I made myself late for work so I could check it out (I have my priorities right of course). I'm impressed, very well made, I hope it sounds as good as I think it will!

I ordered it from mainland Europe and played the exchange rates a little. Trading within the EU incurs no import tax or additional goods tax so it paid to brush up on a couple of foreign laguages .

JamJay - how did the install go? Don't suppose anyone has a link to the fitting instructions online?

It's not on yet, I'm doing a bunch of other stuff at the same time so I'm lumping it all together. Hopefully next week.

Installation is easy for the axle back, just bolt-off bolt-on. You'll need a grinder to cut the mid-resonator off and install the Y-Pipe though, there should be markings on the OE pipe where to cut...there were on my 335i at least anyway.

OT, but, how do you guys think this compares to doing a muffler delete? I only ask this because a muffler delete is a lot cheaper, lol
