Finally joined the club!
So after 9 months of waiting, I finally took delivery yesterday of my VO 1M. I previously owned an '08 135i and debated switching to the 1M, but after serious research (and relentless pressure from friends), I put a down payment on my 1M in January. The wait was agonizing, especially after turning my 135 in when the bubble payment was due in May. Not the mention constant visits to 1Addicts. I finally got indication that my allocation was picked up in August. Production started in early September, and was delivered this past week while I was out of town (with my CA teasing me all week with texts and pics). I went straight from the airport to the dealership to pick up my 1M, where it was being held under a 1M car cover (which the dealership threw in). My CA and the dealership were great throughout the process and it has been a pleasure to deal with them (luckily considering the problems many people have had). It's an amazing machine so far. Such a difference from my 135, which was amazing in its own right. Now I'm aching to get past 1200 miles and open it up. The M button is taunting me!
