There is a monthly meet-up somewhere - not sure where it's held these days. I'm in Ballston/Arlington.

I'm in Manassas which is about 30 min from Falls Church. There should be a weekly 1 Series meet in Fairfax Corner. Haven't been because of my work schedule. If you go let me know how it is.
I saw this under the upcoming events Weekly Thursday Fairfax Corner Meet: 05-16-2013, 05-23-2013, 05-30-2013, 06-06-2013, 06-13-2013 Also: Philly Cheesesteak caravan from Nova to Rockville : 05-18-2013 |

I'd go to one of these meets, but it means I'd have to wash my car, and I'm just too lazy for that.

Being this is my first BMW the idea of taking it to the track does sound exciting and makes me nervous at the same time. This past Sunday a buddy told me about Summit Point in WV and they have a FATT (Friday at the Track) program for novice and higher drivers at the track for $250

Hey guys. There's a big DC metro area bmw group that has multiple meetups all through out the week. There are a few 1 series there (mine included) but it's a pretty cool group of car people.
As far as doing track days. FATT is overpriced. There are better/cheaper groups to run with at Summit. I've run with just about all of them. I'm doing a weekend at Summit the weekend after 4th of July if anybody is interested. If you want more info about the dc metro area bmw group and such send me a PM.
