Berk Exhaust
Hey guys so right now I have all stock pipes and a Berk street exhaust
I was just wondering... to get a little louder, deeper tone Would it be better to get the Berk Race, or upgrade my midpipes/downpipes ?

I have your same setup and Im waiting for my downpipes right now. I'll let you know how much louder it gets. I too believe the Berk Street is way too low.

I want to get downpipes, but mine is CPO...so I don't really want to mess with the engine part of the warranty just in case anything happens ?

Hey ///N54!
I had both the Berk race exhaust by itself, as well as the Berk street exhaust + midpipes. Both systems are about the same loudness at WOT and at startup. The midpipes + muffler are quieter at idle when they've warmed up a little, and are easier to keep quiet in the low RPMs when the cops roll by. The race exhaust had me nervous all the time, and I even got pulled over once for it even when I was trying to keep it quiet, though I never got a ticket. The midpipes + muffler also sound a little better. More refined and supercar-ish up top, and when you let off the gas and the RPMs drop you get a little bit more "burble" which I really like with the midpipes. It just overall sounds smoother but still aggressive. And when you floor it, you're at about the same volume level (loud but not annoyingly so) while sounding better. Also, I had more drone with the race exhaust than I do with the midpipes and sport axleback. Here's my full sport exhaust (midpipes with muffler): And here's the muffler delete (stock midpipes and downpipes) that I had before it: BTW, sorry our earlier deal didn't work out. Looked up DHL and some other freight delivery options too, and nothing was any cheaper for shipping. Hope it all works out for you in the end! Good luck with the exhaust hunt, too!

N55 midpipes will be 95% the same. The Berk pipes have two very nicely built resonators to help keep the drone down while keeping the exhaust sounding great. The N55 midpipes I think only have the one bigger resonator where they meet. They'll sound mostly the same, but you might get more drone and not sound quite as nice with the N55 pipes. But still, they're mostly the same.

Also, a lot of people also do downpipes + axleback and keep the mids stock. That's another option to look into. I would do that if I wasn't the type of person to always worry about emissions, tickets, smells, etc.

I am still debating which is the loudest one. Active Autowerke Signature Exhaust, Berk Race, or aFe. I personally heard the Berk in person. Its loud, and thats what i want. But some said aFe is loud, but how loud is it?
