Does Dinan Finance?
Tried to do a quick google search but couldn't seem to find a definitive answer. I am interested in the Dinan Stage 2 software upgrade which I believe is around $2000.
My question is: Has anyone bought the software through one of the Dinan dealers by way of financing? Obviously 2k is a chunk of change and taking it down to like 100/month would be extremely helpful. Let me know what you guys have done! |

Better off buying a jb4 and using the $1400 difference or whatever it is for potential repairs not covered by warranty lol |

You shouldn't EVER buy car mods financed. You should only play with these things if you have cash on hand that you don't need. Mods are a net loss always and by financing you immediately put yourself underwater. No I'm not saying don't mod. Just be smart about it. You'll get the same smile nailing a section on the track with or without the mod. |

+1 . Exactly what I did in incremental steps, to enjoy and tame the power, especially on the track. I just recently installed a catless downpipe, custom PTF tune, and the power is wild now. I have another adaptation to make on the track in 2015.

Having said that, check with Cobb first (send them an email with your specs and VIN#), as I think that the latest N55 ECU Cobb supported was the Model Year 2012 135i ... BMS JB4 tune may be your only popular choice, but a darn good one as well. Just a little more involving to remove the piggyback shall you need to visit the dealer. Some service advisors are more friendly to mods than others. It's worth asking them before making your final decision. All the money Dinan wants for their tune, will give you less power and does not any essential hardware. FMIC and charge pipe are a must. If Im not mistaken, Dinan and BMW no longer have the warranty agreement they use to have ...

Thanks guys, I know it might have been a silly question to ask.
Cobb is off the table unfortunately because I have a 2013 N55, however a JB4 is going to be the best option? Even protecting my warranty? |

Mods and warranty aren't the best friends unless you have a mod friendly dealership. Best bet is to see what they would do or ask around, if no and you care about your warranty than modding your car might not be a good idea.

If you can't pay for car mods in cash you can't afford them. It's a luxury item for your luxury item.
Friends don't let friends finance gofast parts.
