Question regarding DCT brake pedal.

I just ordered aluminum pedals from EAS (European Auto Source), for my 1er in DCT. When i received the pedals, i noticed the brake pedal was the size of the brake pedal you get in a manual transmission 1er. I contacted them and told them about the issue, and they state the 1er's DCT uses the same brake size pedal as the manual 1er. I took off the stock rubber brake pedal and noticed it was the size of the automatic brake pedal.

I looked at some other companies that sell aluminum pedals for the 1er's and noticed that the brake pedal they sell is the same size as the manual brake pedals and not the automatic pedal. Is there something wrong here?

EAS has it wrong! The brake pedal with DCT is alot bigger than a manual.

I suspect they are confusing SMG with DCT.

SMG has a small brake pedal (like a manual)
DCT has a big brake pedal (like an automatic)

DCT M3s use a standard 6MT brake pedal. Things may simply be different in the DCT 135 models, we haven't had a lot come through the doors just yet to verify.

Since you're local, feel free to drop by and we can exchange them for you, not a problem.

Yes, DCT 135i cars are different and use the wider brake pedal as per the old Steptronic auto cars, and NOT a 6MT brake pedal.
