i didnt put them in the ashtray though you could make a custom mount for it . i mounted it somewhere else. and i turned the cup holder that is beside the ashtray into a mount as well.
as i said tomorow you will see pictures of what it looks like for now.

So since my bro was in town and sleeping at my place i put him to work helping me install my boost gauge...it went perfectly and exactly how i imagined it...I used a Defi Racer gauge..I decided to go with the blue display even though it wont match my dash gauges...i dont like the stock orange color so i didnt feel like buying more orange gauges...

Thanks...The Defi gauge comes with two screws on the back of the mount and some double sided tape. I screwed the mount onto the ac vent and used the sticky tape. It's pretty much lined up with the dash gauges which i was going for and if i ever want to take it back to stock i just have to buy the ac vent. No hurting the dash. it's also not very noticeable from outside since it's mostly hidden by the pillar.

heres my setup so far, though im not complete, i just thought i would put up what i have done so far, because pictures speak more than words.
now i used the defi gauges and installed boost oil pressure and water temp. for the oil pressure you need to order a distributor block so it can be connected and for the water temp you need to order an adapter which is 32mm from what i can remember. those parts aren't included with the gauges. i also installed a air/fuel ratio gauge and temporarily placed it where the vent on the driver side is. tried many different pods until i found this one that is currently used is best fit. those who were at the e9x and e8x meet in toronto on june 6th saw the gauge pod setup. so i thought i would post pictures for the rest to see it. please keep in mind that im not complete.

we work with STACK Gauges out of UK.
STACK offers a few different types but the most effective one is the professional stepper motor Analogue gauge. Available in Black / White / Silver face. here is a complete set up that is installed on the center ash tray location. you can also do a pedestal mount type. The Pedestal mount can be used to fit the boost gauge right above the AC vent.

This setup would run at the very least $654, the kit was $362 and the rest were for a boost, oil press and water temp.
