I highly recommend the BMW mud flaps. Well worth the $50/set. They have kept the paint in road spray areas well protected this winter.

Can you link me to these? Do you have any pictures you can post of them on your car?

Not my car, but this is a good picture:

I didn't use the double-sided tape when I put mine on so they were easier to take off come spring. I also put vinyl down first to protect my paint.

Are you able to keep grip with that kind of power and 225's?

Not really, but for winter/snow tires I read it's best to go with a square set up same tire sizes all around. If I gun it, I spin a bit, but for the most part these are decent. If I could choose again, I would probably spend more money for a winter performance/sport tire, like the blizzaks or dunlop wintersports

You weren't kidding. Exact same setup as my car, and you have a very similar car as well.

Give them a bit to break in. I found after the first 500 miles, they felt a lot better. This is my second set of Altimax Arctics and I love them. I had Blizzaks on my last BMW and they sucked in comparison.

I run 205's in the winter months.

Come on... its winter its not like you can apply full power anyways. And besides... playing with wheel spin(and toss in some snow!) is a lot of fun!!

I have 205/50/17 Hakka R2's, the grip is incredible. Even on damp pavement I can leave a light full throttle without wheel spin. They are better than my summer tires!!!!

I am shocked with how much power they can handle.

I run 225's in the rear (pirelli sottozero) on my original 18's. I find that in the rain when I accelerate in a bend on the highway the DTC light comes on too often.

And I don't have nearly as much power as you guys.
