That is ridiculous prices, it goes the whole principle of costco. Did you speak to the guy with an American (or Canadian) accent by any chance?

Just don't like the stretched look of the 265's on the rear rims.. 275's should deffinately fill out the rims better.
Weight...well... For the amount of track driving I do, wont make too much difference.
Jo just wants big shoulders for a matching look when he steps from the car.

Comparatively less expensive (if it weren't for our friends at TireRack or Tyrepower, we would be paying over $5000 for a set of 19" tyres). Tyres is probably the last thing to compromise on in terms of safety ...

Is Michelin sees as Aussies as idiots as they think Aussies will pay that much.

Obviously.. otherwise they wouldnt be priced as they are..

Just an example..My "wealthy" asian neighbour replaced both his Brigestone 265/35/18 tyres on his Beemer to Michelin PSS at top dollar, on the recomendation of the tyre shop after getting a little tack mid tread on his OEM's, they had under 500km's on them... Mate their is sucker born every minute..
I went ballistic at him after he told me..The tyre shop even kept both OEM's that where replaced...

I would if I knew.. Unfortunately my neighbors English is very poor, and it took me all my might to decipher what he actually said.

In fact, I haven't seen my neighbor in 18 months, and his brand new 320i M sports ( 2010 model ) with about 800kms on the clock, has been unregistered and covered in crap, parked alongside my car in the garage for the past 9 months..

I bought my last set of MPSS from Tyre rack not quite a year and a half ago. I am sure I landed them for AUD 1000 - and there was no duty paid.

Had them fitted, balanced and wheel allignment for something like $150

All up $1,150.

I recall being quoted that price per corner localy. What a joke.

This is a generalization but you have to understand they have to spend their CASH overseas.

That is an understatement Steve..
They spent $1.3 Mil to purchase their apartment, fully furnished it, and live 2 months of the year here, if that..

Suits me fine, as their apartment is directly underneath ours, and dead quiet..
