LOL! I just picked up a 128i PE on eBay exactly a week ago, I just got it on this past weekend and it sounds AMAZING - exactly how the car should have sounded factory. I am NOT an attention seeker, but driving through parts of town turns heads - you can hear the exhaust note bouncing off cars/buildings. :P

One of the lowest $/hp mods on the car. Questionable gains that are within the margin of error for a dyno, and potential future problems from poorer filtration. In the case of oiled filters, premature MAF failure. Most designs also will suffer from heat soak.

With the number of great things you can do to the car, it would take a long time to get this low on the priority list.

Maybe a 5% increase in induction noise from both the euro box and euro performance intake? Zero noticeable HP difference, which makes sense as even the claimed gains of such systems are outside of the threshold one could notice via their bum.

Seriously a complete waste of money IMO. Easy filter changes will be the biggest benefit. Oh, and it looks pretty.

I don't buy OEM parts, OE only. Been burned enough by OEM parts.

Definitely make sure to differentiate the two. I would be exceedingly angry as a customer if I got OEM when I was expecting OE.

You are correct.
I was about to create a thread and explain to everyone that even though an exhaust can be advertised as genuine bmw performance exhaust, the customer has to check the part number and compare it to the bmw one to make sure it is a OE part.

And even then, counterfeit parts are massively on the rise.
