fitting dinan fixed camber plates question
I have a set of used dinan fixed camber plates, missing the dinan studs. Can anyone who has installed these say if the original OEM studs once knocked out of the guide support can be re-fitted to the camber plate? The dinan instructions say to discard them but I may not have an option to do this.
be good to have a heads up before i knock them out and find out i cant re-use and also cant fit the plates... |

The plate is counter sunk with a spline to stop them from spinning. Which I'm hoping the guide support was designed the same. I guess most people would never have seen them out because they come pre assembled on the plate from dinan.

Send the plates back to Dinan and they'll put new studs in them. I bought used set of the same plates, PO broke a stud and had Dinan put new ones in prior to selling them to me.

just to close this thread out. dinan didnt reply so i gambled on the pins being part number: 31336765744 and ordered 6 of these in to assemble the plates prior to installation.
as it turns out they were and are the same (M8X18) pins as what is in the strut tower originally so i could have re-used the oem pins after removing them after-all. i would also add that the installation is possible as a single man job with a good jack and some patience. i ended up with -2.5 degrees (m3 fr control arms and slotted towers). |
