Certainly looks interesting. If you do it please remember to come back and review it. Could be a nice alternative.
I was thinking along the same lines - I don't need actual HID's in the angel eyes, seems like excess. But I'd like a better color so... why not a plug-in bulb at a different color temp. With any bulb, if it works I'd recommend getting another pair. Inevitably in 6 months or several years one will die and you'll be happy to have a replacement on hand. |

They're not extremely see-able in direct sunlight so might look like you have no angle eye bulbs, but the colour is very close to 6k HID's and it produces a more even distribution of the light around the rings,(halogens i found make the center ring really bright and nothing much on the outer ring) And when its not as bright out they look sick cuz i dont like the glaring effect HID's give off
The LED's however dont dim as badly as the halogens when your HID's turn on, and the colour also stays constant when the HIDs are on, unlike the halogens. IMO Hid AE bulbs would be the brightest solution obviously, but they do cost a little more and most of them require you to drill your caps There are loads of these cityvision for sale on e90post and they go for alot cheaper GL tw represent! lol

You're brave! Usually people stick to the "known" brands for a reason. Though those don't seem all too expensive, so it's not too much money to risk on something that may suck..
They seem priced around the range of the Weisslicht LEDs, which are nice and pure white but you can barely see them in daylight, and forget it when the sun is out. The LUX bulbs are supposedly better and brighter, but I haven't seen/compared both in pictures. However, these claim to be completely visible in the daylight and even brighter than GP thunder direct replacements (which are about as bright as stock, and brighter in the daytime than most LED solutions), so if the claims are true, they could offer an alternative which is actually visible for much cheaper than LUX bulbs, and slightly cheaper but easier to install than HIDs. If you get these, take some pics and let us know!

Well, then your really not going to be impressed with any other LED AE's made for this car. The LUX is the best LED option right now, but if you want to try the kit you posted above, don't get mad at us when you are disappointed with the outcome.

I emailed e92-lighting to get a price on the LUX, and this is what they replied...
"Hi, the lux H8 is currently not in stock, [the one is showed] is the recommended replacement at only half the cost, its also pure white and error free or a full refund will apply"

Oh, didn't know thatI remember reading a thread awhile back about someone stealing the LUX design and selling them. I didn't know if this was one of the vendors.
