Winter tires/tpms light? Help
Anyone have experience with changing tires to winters and having the tire sensor light or Tpms come up on dashboard.
I already reset it, so did the Bmw dealer and back on again. They checked again and mentioned something about tire rating being a 91T??? Should be a different tire grading, possible S or Z or something??? Weird never happens on my staggered summer set-up! |

Do they have TPM's in the wheels? If they dont have the monitors, you will get the light, this is what I did on my wife's X3...its really not that annoying, at least to me and I check my tire pressures quite often manually.

May want to increase the pressure in all the your tires by a few pounds. I've found that sometimes they want a little more pressure to keep from triggering the light.

^^Everyone's advice is spot on.
You know you can only reset the TPMS when the car is at rest. At least that is the way it is on US tpms cars. Reset it while stopped, then drive off until the reset light goes out. Canadian cars have a different system that uses the car's ABS sensors to detect a flat tire. Are all your tires the EXACT same size? As long as all your tires have the same speed rating, that should not make a difference. I think we need more info. Where did you buy the tires and who installed them? Sizes? Wheel sizes and widths?
