So is shells "99 octane" claim false or what? Is there any simple way to just find out for sure what the octane is?

People are talking about 99 RON, which is the European octane rating. 99 RON is 93 AKI.

I'm going to visit one of the stations tomorrow to confirm. If they are actually selling 95 octane, I want to try it.
Damn, can not find that filter on the site?!? Is it on the mobile app?

it is is 93 octane nitro, if it was 95 it would have said 95 nitro on the pump. only difference is 20% fmd is added to the gas. detergent that supposedly coats the inside and helps with frictiond and carbon.

In the video on page one it says 99 octane straight from their own video. Is 99 RON considered 99 octane or something?

RON is short for Research Octane Number. That is the rating system used in European countries.

No, and I just tried it again, the octane filter is GONE, replaced by a "description" of the gas you are looking for. Great.

On the other hand, wouldn't RON99 be US 94? RON98 = 93

I found a local Shell station after I called Shell customer support. Give them your zip and they'll give you an address.

I just had a new clutch and flywheel installed at the dealership, and post install prognosis isn't good. I haven't really noticed anything yet, I filled up tank on Sunday.

Well what was it? 93? 94? 95? 99? How much more per gallon was it than normal 93 in your area?

It's 91 octane here. Isn't worth the price over grocery store gas (2.75 premium vs 3.45 shell)
