Do these come with the metal backing-plates, or do you have to re-use the OEM ones?

OEM brake pad backing plates will need to be used again to prevent rattles from the pads. If you are tracking the car only, the backing plates do not need to be installed for the event.

So it sounds like they are clearanced on the sides for the OEM plates? These are for track use, but until the cracking piston cap issue is tracked down 100%, I am not comfortable running them without the plates.

Never had an issue with our 135i on these, but have switched to Stoptech Trophy for more heat capacity and better performance. |

I am currently running Hawk HPS pads, would you recommend the DTC-60 or DTC-70 for the upcoming "Shootout" I have discussed with you. From what I understand the circuit is not that bad on brakes and the vehicle will do no more than 2 or 3 consecutive hot laps. Regards, Justin. |

The DTC 60 and 70's offer significantly higher brake torque than the HPS can provide, even in the 2 to 3 lap timed runs you can go beyond the maximum operating temperature of the HPS pads. Harold |
