I am running 19X10's(265/30/19) in the back and no rubbing. i am still on stock suspension though, but i believe tire choice usually makes or breaks the rubbing issues on custom wheels.

I was more asking about issues others have had getting 19's to fit properly WITHOUT a lot of fender modification or playing tire roulette. |

I was on Advan RZs
19x8 front 19x9 rear with a 50mm offset I had AD08 tires all around in a 235mm width, and Im lowered on coils about an inch and a half. I rubbed in the rear even with that, and it actually cut part of the sidewall of my passenger side rear tire. itll be difficult. The car is in the shop now getting my rear fenders rolled and basically pulled out lol |

Adrean, the fact that you are running round side-walled tires seems to be the problem. Specially ad08's along with any other ultra high perf. rubber is rounded. However, that SHOULDNT be your problem as you're running a custom set up.
Hope it gets figured out for you. I have 19" LM's on the way, 245/30/19 in the rear, 225/35/19 in the front.

Am i the only who see's everyone using the WRONG tire size?
I ordered 245/30/19 and 225/35/19 everyone is going to be racking on at least 4% more mileage on their cars! We have to run at least a 30 series tire in the rear for 19s, and 35 series up front!

Sorry mohammadz! I'm clueless when it comes to wheels and tires that's why i was asking. Could you explain why we need 35's in the front and 30's in the rear? Also, why 245's instead of 255's?

Wishbone, you just wrote it down wrong, otherwise it should work. You need 225/35fr and 255/30r. That will work with those wheels and your suspension. I doubt it will ever rub but if it does it will be when you have a few passengers and the passenger side rear fender will rub a little.

eyeman, are you saying that i might rub with passengers in the rear seats or do you think i would rub with just 1 passenger in the passenger side? |

I would recommend the Goodyear Eagle F1's or Nitto Invo's

The rub is dependent upon your offsets more than anything. From what I have heard from several vendors (with project cars) the Nitto's have the best "sidewall" for running 19's.

Wishbone, I'm sure that just Toyos and Falkens run so abnormally small and that seems to be your main concern. I just looked it up for you, with Falken FK452 you'd order 245/35 rears, with Toyo T1r 255/30. Basically those are your two choices given your concerns. So if you want to save go Falkens. With either of these choices you might rub a little if you have 200+ lbs of passengers in your car. If you chose any other tire you are likely to rub more. The cheapest tire I know of that runs small are Nexxens but they don't come in our sizes.

Hankooks seem to have a pretty square shoulder so I think they are more likely to rub that Toyos.

Alright now I'm really confused. My vendor told me that the falkens would def rub because falkens are known to be "oversized"? I'm not sure what that means but I'm totally confused.

Ok so lets put it this way Wishbone....On 19" wheels w/stock suspension you will not rub in every day driving (given that the offsets are correct for whatever wheels you purchase) this is with pretty much what ever tire you choose.....BUT....if you hit a doozy of a dip or have heavy passengers you will have a slight to moderate rub.....that is part of the reason I opened this thread, because I do not think I have heard of ANYONE with 19's with ZERO rub without some type of fender mod.
**Addendum** This is with 255/30's for the rear tires... |

Sorry adrean, i kinda feel like i hijacked your thread lol. Anways, what would be considered "correct" offsets? I got et45 front and et48 rears. I know in the rear, the higher the offset the better it is. This has the be the most confusing car the try to buy proper wheels and tires for.
