used 135 market down under

greetings my fellow down under 1 addicts, I was wondering how is the market for used 135's where you are. the reason I am asking is because I am considering selling my car and if the market is strong for used 135's where you are I would be happy to ship to Australia. I would appreciate your thoughts. cheers,

kori

My thoughts are:

1. Only Americans say "Down Under"
2. Your car is Left Hand Drive. Australia is Right Hand Drive.
3. Australian motor vehicle industry has heavy tarriffs on importation of motor vehicles

I didn't notice you were selling your car. so that is a huge difference in price. my car would sell for less than half of what your car sells here. shame you guys are right hand drive

I hope median income is high as well otherwise how can people afford to buy these cars. Can't imagine how much Porsche, Ferrari and other premium brands sell for

Pixel, you will find that there are a lot of guys on the Aussie site here that are, gotta be careful here, older than the US guys on the greater 1 and 3 series site. I make this point because of the pricing of the cars versus average incomes. By example I find significant numbers of really young guys, 20 something's, on the US M3 site but on the Aus site we are a few years older, again generalizing a bit here.

Rough retail drive away numbers for you.
M3 coupe (high spec) $180,000
Porsche Cayman R $190,000
VW Golf GTi $45,000
VW Polo GTi $33,000
Porsche 991 911S $310,000

If you are curious check here-----> www.carsales.com.au

I just choked seeing those numbers. I hear you about the possible difference in age but you still need a lot of dough to ride one those rides. Guessing there are a lot of wealthy Aussies that can afford to pay those premiums. The VW's were not as highly marked up as the others. Maybe $10k but the rest were like 3X

That's it. But it's not like the USA with a lot of population spread throughout. The vast majority of people are in the AEST timezone on the Eastern Coast.

Australian population: 22.8 million
Perth population: 2.3 (10%)

there's at least 1 Zonda (which seems to be perpetually for sale)
and at least 1 Veyron (in South Australia, though they can't be road registered here)
