Yeah, I've reviewed your DIY Stig, which is pretty good by the way. It doesn't look too bad, but since this would be my first Bimmer, I think I would need to get a little better accustomed to the engine set-up before attempting this kind of project. Coming from pretty much nothing but Honda products for the last decade or so, I need a little while to work on my comfort level.
If/when I do this, I will make sure to seek your help. |

DISA install is EASY. Seriously, there's more (as in quantity) steps than doing the filter housing (eurobox), but the difficulty level is on part.
Can be had cheap used ($300). Gains are real and substantial, unlike anything else short of headers. And, without a doubt I'd go with evolve.

Out of curiosity, what will a dealer say about the DISA manifold even if you set the tune back to stock with the tool before service? Especially on a car such as the OP's that is brand new. I know it shouldn't be "directly responsible for failure of OEM components," but I feel like not all dealers would be very receptive to it...cause historically they have been dicks about things like this.

I don't think they'd ever notice the difference. If they flashed the computer for an update you might lose the tune, but usually you just have to get the tool shipped to you and flash it again and thats simply a core charge. As for myself, i have no warranty and i do all my own work, so it's not a concern.
