We checked everything over 2-3 times to make sure that nothing was left that could be the cause of the rattle.

I would like to know how well the powder coat retains its finish.

Attention all exhaust providers: We love our black chrome tips!
The black powder coated section looks really nice!!

Update:
Berk has already responded and we are working on a solution.
Great to hear, please let us know if there is anything we can assist you with.

After talking to Berk I do plan to shoot more videos. Please do not make any depictions based on my experience...yet. You will be able to decide on your own once I have more videos up. I plan to have a friend help me this time.

I don't believe as far as the piping goes, but I would think the fitting isn't EXACTLY the same. Could be wrong though.

Borrowing this pic from EAS. Just my .02 based on my experience in case it helps... I bet it is rattling somewhere in the red circled area. That's where mine was hitting that circled brace, but could also easily rattle on the flashing above it.

There really isnt anywhere else on the system that gets close enough to anything to rattle on. The green circle is the hanger I had to bend to alleviate rattling in those areas (was angled up towards the car and is supposed to be parallel to ground). My install appeared clear of the brace but there was enough movement up/down in the pipes that we could tell it was going to rattle...then did the minor tweak to that hanger and voila enough clearance to fit my hand between the brace and pipe

Thanks for posting the picture! Bryan @Berk has already contacted "Lutz Automotive Performance" and is trying to pinpoint the rattle issue. He is trying to help in whatever way he can, I have to admit I am impressed.

Yea, Bryan is a great guy. Tops in the customer service department for sure. When I was thinking I was going to install it myself, he answered a gagillion of my tedious questions about the process. He also talked directly to AR Design (my installer) when we wanted to be sure it was on right.

Yea bro, we can figure out a day to meet up.

I had a friend shoot some clips of me passing buy, needless to say she had some problems filming it...lol...I will have her shoot some more this Sunday.

I will upload a video tomorrow, it is compiled of 4 clips, 3 being from earlier tonight. You guys can tell me what you think.

I will be shooting before and after, my main concern now is to just get the rattle fixed.

Bryan @Berk has spoke to "Lutz Performance Automotive" and they will be contacting me next week regarding the fix.

I feel reassured that "Berk" has fixed the "horn" issue. After watching a few clips that Bryan sent me mine sounds nothing like the "horn" issue cars. But you can help me decide after I upload my video tomorrow.

Hi,

installed yesterday my BERk muffler delete on the N54. Midpipes OEM with 200 cell racing cats. My one sound a little bit louder and deeper. Maybe a difference between the mid-pipes!

My berk exhaust doesnt even come close to clearing that brace. The stock catback never rubbed, I simply removed it, put the berk on, and I cant even get the brace to bolt on because the exhaust is too low.

both pipes hang too low or just one side? Mine was hitting the brace (but it screwed back on no problem) until I tweaked the hanger a bit.

Thanks man! I guess the noise I was hearing was a rasp and I have never had an exhaust that sounded like that so I freaked out!

This is my daily driver and I don't think its too loud, I like to be able to hear what my car is doing especially if it sounds good. It might get a little annoying when you are cruising at the same speed for a long time but you can always turn the music up but from personal experience it does not bother me!

Yeah, I don't think it would bother me either my rx7 would set off car alarms 500 feet away so I'm used to the loud.

Is there a reason you ordered from EAS instead of berk directly? Also where did you get it powder coated, I would like to keep the look of the black tips when I get mine.
