3M paint protection - how's yours fairing ?
Hi Guys,
Just wondering how your 3M paint protection is traveling ? Mine was done 2 years and 3 months ago, and I believe it has really gone off now. Not yellowing, but just has a real dull finish. Just clayed and polished my car ready for a wax in the morning, and was having a good look at it. When it was first applied, it was very hard to distinguish from the adjoining paint not coved. But now it is most definitely duller, and I can't seem to get it to shine like before. Has a life time warranty from memory. Not sure if I would bother with it again as I do far less freeway miles now than I first got the car. Anyone else finding the same ? |

Not fairing well at all...so much for paint protection, couldn't even protect the paint from bullets after driving through Belmore with Storm flag raised high.

4 years on mine has done a great job of protecting but it's now quite marked in places. No yellowing though. Some of the worst marks look like oil stains that I seem to pick up when I follow others too closely on track days.

You're talking about 3M Ventureshield paint protection film?
If so, yeah mine's okay. a couple of minor issues, but nothing major at all. Had it over 3 years now. Definitely no yellowing/fading or cracking. Mine is sealed though with the same sealant used on my car. Also saw one on a mates Lambo and mates 360. Both were near perfect too. No issues to report. |
