1M Pricing in Germany "starting" March 2012
Guys, I was checking the German BMW web site to see if the new Grand Coupe was put in the configurator, then I remembered to check if the new price lists were also put, and the 1M's March 2012 price pdf was also there! As usual, full details, standart equipment, optionals and accessories which will be valid as of 1st of March 2012. This is imo a very strong indication that the World production (outside NA) will be continuing after March, maybe till June/July like some rumors suggested, cause otherwise there would be no need to renew the existing price list titled September 2011 (which was already valid till March 2012)
I checked the full list as well as the updated configurator and couldn't see anything new as a standart item or optional, so no worries (for some!), at least there are no Le Mans Blue/Mineral Grey/sunroof/DCT/EDC/homelink/front parking sensors etc. etc. available In the accessories list I noticed that the older Performance Steering Wheel with electronic stopwatch made a return to 1M list, it carries the same accessory code with the new M Performance Wheel (normal one). Maybe, some Forum users who live in Germany and/or moderators (Southlight comes to mind) could confirm my interpretation of the "March" price list. |

I do not see a date on this pdf price list. Where did you see a date? I do see that the German base price went up 1,000 euros to: 51,500 now. http://www.bmw.de/de/de/newvehicles/...oom/index.html . 1_M_CP_pricelist.pdf |

I still dont understand why the 1M was a 2011? If Cafe standards had nothing to do with limiting production to 2011 why did they not mark it as a 2012 along with the face lifted 1 series??

First page at the top right, above the 1M picture, it is always noted there the validity of this pdf, in this case March 2012. A few days ago and since August 2011 it was the old document with September 2011 date and before that the first 1M document was dated March 2011. This means that you can order a car now in Germany which will be produced March or later and the prices will be those in the text until the next document (September 2012) which I am not expecting at all to appear for the 1M (cause it would mean 2013 models plus a continuation of the E82 production along with new 1 series that I strongly doubt after the 2012 model year). |

Mine too but US production is "labelled" as 2011 no matter when the production of a given car took place, mine was built in August and registered as a 2012 but a US car which was built at the end of October was still 2011 model! That's what US owners are desperately trying to understand why, I myself also couldn't figure it till now. My "technical" guess: a bad decision from BMW NA, nothing more nothing less!

Im happy that mine is 2012! All Swedes with cars registered from January-December 2011 is 2011. Registered in 2012 is 2012. How it works here. Then you can also always track the production date if you are interested but here people just care about registration date as that shows its a "2012" and not a "2011" ;-) Taken into traffic in 2012.
