SOLD - F/S Apex ARC-8 Wheels + Hankook RS3's

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
Sold

Location:
✓ Will Ship

Item Interest
SOLD

Fitment - 1M - Required a 10mm spacer (front) on my quite low 1M with Moton Super Sports.
Condition - A little dusty but no imperfections to speak of.
Tire sizes are 18" @ 265 F and 285 R.
Wheels - 18X9.5 F (35 offset) & 18x10.5 R (27 offset) - Shaved by HPA Autowerks

Price new - $2,559.68
Asking Price - $1800 [B][COLOR="Red"](EDIT: Reduced to $1,800 Shipped)

I need to sell these slightly used (never abused) wheels and tires. I bought them from HPA Autowerks and used them at Road Atlanta (2 wet sessions, 2 dry) and a day at Atlanta MotorSports Park (very smooth surface). As far as heat cycles go I would say 8 but considering 2 of them were in wet conditions it was more like 6. The wear is very even and minimal. I kept the sideways driving to a minimum (see videos) so these have many more miles on them. Oh, they have about 250 street miles, mostly highway.

Dan -

I'm pretty sure that offset is stamped (or cast) on the inside of the wheel.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Edit on the original post. I had the width of each wheel wrong.

Here's the correct info and offsets:

18X9.5 F (35 offset) & 18x10.5 R (27 offset) - Shaved by HPA Autowerks

Here are a couple pics I took when I installed them.

they shouldnt i had same sizes but more aggressive offset fitted on my car just to see what fitment was like and it only rubbed the fender liner in the front sometimes at full crank while in reverse i think the offset was 25 all around on the same tires in the same sizes

Fire Sale!

I really need to move these. They have been bagged in my basement and must go. It looks like shipping is about $50 per wheel/tire on average. I'll sell and ship them in the US for $1,800 total.

If you need to contact me choose the email option as I receive those a lot faster.

Thanks,
Dan

How many amateur track days would say are left on the tires? A track day is 4 20 minutes sessions of lapping a road course like Laguna Seca. No idea how to interpret heat cycles.

Sorry for the delay. This is a really tough question to answer. Tracks, cars, weather, and driving style all vary a lot. Some run their track tires until they see cord while others use them until the wear bars are touching pavement. Since you are talking about not competing you aren't looking for the best times but longevity and consistency. I used them on 2 tracks that are known to be easy on tires so they should have quite a bit more life on them. The car was aligned well so there is no uneven wear. I think the pictures show this well. I wish I could answer your question with more precision but there are too many variables for me to do anything but speculate.

Bump for an awesome seller and a very sweet deal. The wheels were just taken out of their bags and waxed yesterday. What a PITA!

since Dan's too skeered.... I will HAPPILY speculate

Based on my own usage of the same tires... i would imagine probably 6-8 weekends of time left for an intermediate level driver.. .. assuming 4 - 30 minute sessions a day and two days per weekend. if the owner were to pay to flip the tires on the rim(s) after the first 4-5 weekends, they could likely last even longer. Dan is definitely correct... tire wear is greatly user dependent. Also.. what one feels acceptable to drive with regarding wear bears and low tread is also a personal decision.

Well, it was worth a try. Here are some more recent pics. I cleaned them months ago but decided to wax them (for good luck) so new pics are in order.
