Drastic uneven tire wear?
Hi, I have driven my set of Yokohama s drives for about 2500 miles. 70% freeway and 30% city. I'm thinking of changing rears to wider tires. Do I need to change the entire set of 4 tires or just the rears will do? If I only change the rears will the wear be drastically uneven?
Please advise. Thanks! |

2 are fine to change. I thought you were looking at those two sets of wheels in differing offsets though? (or do you just like asking questions)

Hi, thanks for answering! Yes, I was looking for those wheels until I changed my mind after I saw them in person at the shop. The AC Schnitzer was quoted a different price on the phone and the Prodrive is a different finish (they got the stock list mixed up)!
Also, I live in Singapore and the wheel selection here that will fit a 1 series is so limited! I am having a headache sourcing out wheels and I really don't want to indent from overseas since shipping can cost quite a bit... Finally, I am really new to these, so these questions are really helping me learn! Thanks again for replying!! |

Tread wear should be perfectly fine to swap out still since you have only been riding on the fronts for 2500 miles.
