No boost + No charge piping blown off?????
Last Friday I was driving to drop off my supervisor at a bar, on my way home K realized the car (after a few days of gnarly wastegate rattle) refused to spool boost, nothing over 5 pounds was the highest I've gotten it.
I had sent logs over to Jon at BMS, with no luck besides him saying there's most likely a blown off charge pipe. Took the whole front end apart and the whole charge piping/ intercooler is just fine. Any ideas on where to look/ start next? Thanks! |

Got it. And if air is not leaking out then that's my issue correct?

when air is leaking the car will stop boosting from even the most minor leak so make sure the vacuum lines are plugged in to thise 2 metal thin shaped pipes and feel the rest of the lines to make sure its not leaking anywhere

if they are functioning correctly they should not be leaking at all. and the vacuum line should be plugged in on both of them, mine was leaking air right at the metal nipple where the vacuum line plugs into. also keep in mind we are worried more about the vacuum lines bot the selenoid itself if you unplug the vacuum line the selenoid will be sucking air in, u can cap them off would be a quick way to see if thats the problem to begin with as it keeps the wastegate fully closed

The turbo wastegates are vacuum actuated, so if there's a leak in the solenoid, lines, or accumulator, you won't be boosting...
