Tpms Sensor on Winter Wheels?
I'm looking to purchase a set of oem winter wheels from a fellow forum member.
http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=770160 BMW Style 141 17" "V Spoke" wheels wrapped in Goodyear Eagle Ultra Grip GW3 RSC 205/50 R18 89H Run-flats I just wanted to know if this will be compatible with the 135i with msport package. If I price out a winter package on tirerack.com it says I need to add TPMS sensors (200$). This is for a Canadian car, do I need to do anything special? The package this guy is selling doesn't have the tpms sensors on it. |

Should be no problem fitting the wheels but I'm not 10% sure
You don't need TPMS sensors. Cdn cars do not have TPMS sensor and pressure sensor is based off of other sensors not located in the wheel (I think its the ABS sensor or speed sensor or something like that). Just reset the TPMS in the car when you have changed the wheels. Read your manual how to do it using the steering stalk controller. YOu have to be stopped and i believe you need to go to the reset option and hold down the button. |

I see.
Thank you for clearing that up. I got confused because tirerack alterted me to adding $200.00 tpms sensors to my wheels when I was looking earlier. I will look at the manual like you said and reset the warning. Cheers, |
