1Addicts, show us your motorcycles
Im new to this site, and have seen some pics with motorcycles in the background... I'm a motorcycle guy now turned car guy, so let's see em!!!
I've had around 50 bikes, some of them have been pretty neat... Mostly Euro bikes, Ducatis , BMWs, Aprilias, with a bunch of japanese bikes thrown in for good mixture. Here's my latest... A 2005 BMW R1200ST, 1 of 550. |

I ended up selling this a while back ago, but will definitely buy another bike again. |

Wow Gangplank that is some serious lean you've got going there.
Nice bikes guys you're making me miss mine. I had a slew of dirtbikes and then made the transition to a dual sport and eventually a Ninja 650. Sold the Ninja when I moved to DC because the drivers here would have killed me for sure. Hope to get another bike one day, can't have anything too powerful because I have terrible self control and love speed. Bought both of these brand new and they were fantastic bikes. Miss them dearly lol Ninja by Matt Steele, on Flickr Ninja by Matt Steele, on Flickr Ninja by Matt Steele, on Flickr Ninja by Matt Steele, on Flickr

@matticus91 thanks. I owned a trackday company with a couple friends when I lived in Reno, NV. We did events in northern NV & CA. It was a blast!!
I also have owned a number of BMW dual sport bikes. F650gs, f800gs. My first track bike was a ninja 650. It was fun but the GSXR750 was an absolutely fantastic trackbike.

They made really nice & interesting bikes when it was bmw owned. Now that KTM bought it we'll see. I expect it to become an off-road only brand fairly quickly.

For sure, the quality was really top-notch. Everything from electric start to a digital display, on a dirt bike!

All 3 are numbers matching which is kind of a big deal. The Triumph is the least correct, but, maybe my favorite. Even though they are all Brit bikes of the same era, quite different in handling and especially power characteristics. All are left foot shift and obviously kick start. When I got on this forum it reminded me of the bikes in a way, especially regarding lubricants and fuel. If you want a lively discussion on lubricants, just ask what to use in the chaincase of a 50 yr old Triumph! They are quirky and can be difficult - especially the fuel and ignition systems. Quite a few people ditch the original carbs and go with a reliable Japanese make, but, I refuse to give up. As a consequence, carbs are pulled of and rebuilt/adjusted often. Another quirk is fastener sizes. The 1966 has mostly Whitworth nuts and bolts. Probably more than you wanted to know |

GJM120... Those are very nice bikes... I'm real fond of that BSA! It is beautiful. The first bike I ever threw a leg over was a 441 Victor a LONG time ago.
