Finally it's here! 320D M Sport

At last, after months of waiting, I just picked up my Sapphire Black 320D M Sport from the dealer. The last delay was apparently because it was the first E90 M Sport registered in Ireland and so the motor tax people had to set it up on their system first! The dealer probably made that up to keep me from calling him on the hour every hour.

No pictures yet, but I'll take some later today and post them (assuming e90post.com has recovered that is.

Full spec:

320D M Sport
Sapphire Black
18" Style 193 wheels
Xenons
Sun blinds
Tinted screen
Isofix
Rear armrest

If you still have not seen enough cars with the M Sport Package, take a look at www.mobile.de. You have to type:

Marke: BMW (ofcourse) / Modell: sportpaket / Erstzulassung von: 2005 / Preis von: 35000 bis: 50000

You will find many cars with the M Sport Package. However, the pics are small and that's a shame!

Do the two pictures below make the choice between 17" or 18" wheels easier? When you save the pictures on your computer and make a slide show, you see the wheels and car change. Cars with the M Sport Package can be configured on www.bmw.de.

Larger pictures of cars with the M Sport Package. Some have already been shown here in a smaller size. The quality and size are still far from perfect.

Great shots. Both lmb & sg go superbly with the sb alcantara. I am so hoping this will be available in the NA market. Remind us what the cost in euros is?

Stressdoc, it's always a little bit difficult to say what Package on a car really costs. In The Netherlands, the M Sport Package costs € 5.095,-. However, when I configure a car with the options I prefer without the M Sport Package, it'll cost me € 54.439,- (in that case I go for 'Dynamic Executive'). When I configure almost the same with the M Sport Package, it'll cost me € 61.218,90. So in fact the M Sport Package costs me € 6.779,83. It has to do with your personal wishes & commands. The Dynamic Executive Package already contains a lot of features of the M Sport Package. On the contrary, the M Sport Package doesn't contain a lot of features of the Dynamic Executive Package. Moreover, the exact same car in Germany with the M Sport Package would cost me 'only' € 45.380,-. In The Netherlands we have to pay an extremely high amount of taxes on a car!

Thats not true. If you for example compare the 330i Dynamic Executive (53950) and the 330i Executive M-package (51900 + 4601 (M-package for 330i) = 56501. The only thing you dont have now is are the xenons with washers (821 + 368 = 1189). So 56501 + 1189 - 53950 = 3740. So you only pay 3740 for the M-package. Both opions are with 17" rims.

Yes, it is tough to figure. Usually we get a fairly straight cost equivalence from the German pricing, except we luck out (given the current 1.2 exchange rate) and have to pay $36k instead of €36k for a 330i. I do not have my mac java applets set up to be able to use the configurator on the .de site, otherwise I would just look at the German price for the M-sports package. It is difficult when they throw all the different packages at you to assess what just the M-sport options are costing. Thanks for the info! If we get this in NA I would bet on 18" rims. And probably $3-4k. Ouch.

Bananenboom, what you say is true! I made two configurations with my wishes and commands based on two packages: Dynamic Executive and M Sport Package. In my first configuration I forgot to add Navigation System Business, which costs € 2.477,78 in combination with Dynamic Executive. This made part of the difference. So the gap closes. The M Package still stays expensive, but now I might consider to go for it! Thanks
