Short Video. My 1m Vs Cayman On Track

[u2b][/u2b]I went for the first time with the 1M to the track and my friend had his Cayman there.

The video is being shot inside the Cayman.

Watch how I pull him in the straight away. You can even hear him complaining a bit Its in spanish tough...

It was the first lap, so dont judge me too much... But there is a little E break DRIFT around there...

The vid is on a iphone, so dont expect too much.. I didnt even know they were filming...

I will have some Drifting videos soon.

Are your tail light tinted or is it just the overcast/video quality? Thanks for the post.

It was the Cayman S. This video was in Mexico city wich has very high elevation. So that helps the 1M beat the non turbo cars a lot easier.

It might apear like that on some spots but being honest I was beating him everywhere on the track.

On that day (not on the video) I was in front him him for a while and I noticed how I was pulling him a lot. After some time , I waited for him on the straight and let him pass. I followed him for a while to compare and trust me I was gaining on him on the corners too. And I passed him very easily on the straight.

On the video, you can see how I was even doing a little bit of drifting. I was having fun. I wasnt worrying too much about laptimes but I can assure you that my friend was trying very hard to catch me and I was just playing around...

Oh and my friend goes to this race track around 10 times a year. This was my frist track day in a couple of years and first with the 1M... My 1M has 2500 km so I am just getting the hang of it.

To be fair to the Cayman, there was another Cayman that beat me pretty good but it had many mods on it and the guy who drove it is a great driver. He pulled me everywhere...

Did you also have a passenger??

CaymanS > 1M in tight turns
1M > CaymanS in a long straight assuming both are stock

Given the 35+ HP advantage in the 1M the Cayman in the vid kept up pretty well

Both are fantastic cars!

My friend is a very good driver.
I went as a passenger with him. And the cayman is really a great car.
You are right. Tight turns are great in the Cayman.
