Manual Tranny
I've noticed this weird noise that's been happening when I depress the clutch in first gear, there is a distinct *clunk clunk clunk* from the car when I do this. Does not happen in any other gear.
Seems to occur most often when I'm rolling down a slight incline during takeoff. I've tried it on my driveway just rolling down in first with no throttle input at all - when I press down the clutch the 3 or 4 successive clunks occur. I must admit I'm a bit of a noob to manuals, so is this a sign of a greater problem?

Is the car new?
Check if it happens even when you don't use the clutch; i.e. when slowing to almost still, and then moving forward again. My car does that and it turns out it is the diff.

The car was in stock with 60km, so I guess it could be considered a demo. Alright I'll try what you suggest thanks

trust bearing noise. Consider it normal unless the noise occur when the clutch is engaged.
EDIT: FULLY engaged.
